Andrea Ball is a self-described creative individual who “can’t seem to communicate the same
way everyone else does”. Instead, she best communicates in beautifully crafted lyrics, telling a
story with an arrangement, and expressing emotion with her performance, which is why the stage
is where she feels most comfortable.
After graduating from the music program at University of Colorado, Andrea began playing out, opening for artists like Matt Morris, Meiko and the Bowerbirds. In 2008, her first LP titled "Beat Beat Pound" was finished and made its way to iTunes. The record was celebrated in her community, giving fans a glimpse into who Andrea Ball wanted to be as an artist. Two years later, she is readying the release of her full-length album entitled Dial Tone, which takes what fans came to love about her on her first release and multiplied it by ten.
Whether Andrea is singing about the skipping of her heart beat, the insomnia that keeps her up at night, or how she’s misjudged people that she’s met, she continues to build her confidence in her music. In 2010, Ball plans to tour the new album, performing at a variety of festivals including The Underground Music Showcase in Denver this summer.
